About

I am a political scientist focusing on international political economy, particularly developing countries’ position within the international financial system.

I am a doctoral candidate in International Relations at the University of Oxford, where my research is supported by the UK Economic and Social Research Council. In the 2019-2020 academic year, I will be a Max Weber Fellow at the European University Institute. In 2020, I will join the Department of Political Science at Brown University as an Assistant Professor.

My doctoral thesis, supervised by Ben Ansell and Ricardo Soares de Oliveira, is titled The Financial Statecraft of Debtors: The political economy of external finance in Africa.

At Oxford, I am a pre-doctoral research fellow at the Global Economic Governance Programme at the Blavatnik School of Government, University of Oxford. I am lecturer (non-stipendiary) in International Relations at University College, University of Oxford and a graduate teaching assistant in quantitative methods.
